Lula, Alckmin and Haddad: they will be at Avenida Paulista this Saturday - Ricardo Stuckert

The campaigns of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Workers' Party) and Jair Bolsonaro (Liberal Party) chose southeastern capitals for the candidates' last activities on the eve of the second round of voting. This Saturday (29), the petista will be in São Paulo (SP), while the current host of the Planalto Palace goes to Belo Horizonte (MG).

Leader in voting intentions in the main polls released in the runoff campaign, Lula will gather his allies for the so-called "Victory March" on Paulista Avenue, in the central region of São Paulo. The meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., near the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP).

Lula will start the walk at 4:00 p.m., together with the vice-presidential candidate, Geraldo Alckmin (Brazilian Socialist Party), and the Workers' Party candidate for the state government, Fernando Haddad.

The event will have wings symbolizing the major challenges the country will face in the coming year: labor, health, education, environment, inflation, housing and human rights.

Bolsonaro in Belo Horizonte

The candidate for reelection chose to end the campaign in the capital of Minas Gerais, according to the elected federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL), one of the main canvassers of Bolsonarismo in this second round.

Through social networks, Nikolas announced a “motorcycle caravan”, which will start from Álvaro Antônio Avenue, in the Barreiro neighborhood, and will continue to Liberty Square, in the Savassi area, a central location in the city. The meeting was scheduled for 9:00 a.m.

Bolsonaro maintains the hope of defeating Lula in Minas Gerais. In the first round, the PT candidate obtained 48.3% of the valid votes in the state, compared to 43.6% for the current president. He received the formal support of the re-elected governor Romeu Zema (New Party) shortly after the first round of voting.
