In a 12-minute speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Jair Bolsonaro exposed lies about Brazil and its environmental issues. The spech was marked with false remarks about agribusiness, cattle raising, and mining in the territories claimed by indigenous people.
The brazilian far right president spoke of a Brazil that is supposedly champion in environmental preservation and that respects the territories of its indigenous peoples.
A few days later, Bolsonaro said that the "timeframe limitation" would undermine the brazilian agriculture. The "timeframe limitation" thesis, analyzed by the Supreme Court, predicts that the indigenous people could only claim the lands they occupied before the 1988 Brazil's Constitution, disregarding the groups that suffered invasions and were expelled.

“I think it's blackmail, but it's a big lie, first and foremost, because the small farmer is the one who feeds the Brazilian people. We usually say that if the countryside doesn't plant, the city doesn't have dinner, and that's true", says the federal deputy Talíria Petrone.
